Alec Mills throws No-hitter in cubs win over the Brewers


On Sunday Cubs Pitcher Alec Mills through a no-hitter against the Milwaukee Brewers. Mills had 5 strikeouts and did not allow a single man on base in the win on Sunday. Mills threw the 305th no-hitter in MLB history. This is Mill’s first Career no-hitter. Mills’ performance on Sunday was the second No-hitter of the 2020 season. Mills is also the first Cubs pitcher to throw a no-hitter since Jake Arrieta in 2015. This season Mills has 8 starts with a record of 5-3.

Cubs offense

The Cub’s defense was not the only thing that was impressive on Sunday. It started in the 4th inning when Jason Heyward would bring home Schwarber with an RBI double. Next, a wild pitch would allow Javier Baez to score to increase the lead for the Cubs. The Cubs would score 4 in the 4th inning 2 in the 5th and the 9th to beat the Brewers 12-0.
