Ravens vs Bills Post Game Recap

This was a defensive game. There was only one offensive touchdown. But, it was the defensive touchdown which was the game breaker. Here are my thoughts on the Ravens vs Bills game from the Divisional Round. We analyze all the star players and their performances.

Gameplay

Justin Tucker. Mr. AutomTUCK. He missed twice in Buffalo. So did Tyler Bass. The wind was a big factor in the kicking game. The wind also affected both offenses. Josh Allen and Tyler Huntley had wide-open receivers down the field and both times the wind carried the ball out of reach of their receivers.

Right out of the half, the Bills marched down the field and scored a touchdown, to take a seven-point lead. The Ravens then took a nine-minute drive down the field. Lamar Jackson threw his first red-zone interception, and Taron Johnson returned the interception for a touchdown. On the ensuing possession, Lamar Jackson got concussed, exited the game, and ended any comeback hopes for Baltimore.

The Ravens made a lot of mistakes. On the play before the interception, Jackson had a wide open receiver for a touchdown, but there were two missed blocks on the offensive line which forced Jackson to throw the ball away. There were numerous bad snaps by Patrick Mekari, one of them initiating Jackson’s concussion. The Ravens dropped third down passes, touchdown, passes, missed blocks, and had many communication errors.

Breakdown

The only reason the Ravens were in the game was their defense. The Bills had one designed run in the first half. The Ravens slowed down the Bills passing attack in part due to the wind and a great scheme by Wink Martindale.

The Ravens won every stat except the score. They dominated time of possession, were better on third down, got more first downs, out passed and out rushed the Bills, and lost.

This is my analysis of the Ravens vs Bills game from last week.
