Ravens vs Cowboys Post Game Analysis

Here is my thoughts on the Ravens vs Cowboys game from week 13. We analyze all the star players and their performances.

Rushing Attack

Lamar Jackson came off the COVID list to make the start against the Cowboys. The Cowboys came in with the worst rushing defense in the NFL. The Ravens had a field day on the ground. Gus Edwards led the Ravens with 101 yards on just 7 carries, Lamar Jackson had 94 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries, J.K. Dobbins had 71 yards a touchdown. and Mark Ingram had 28 yards on 6 carries. That’s 294 yards on 37 carries. 7.95 yards a carry.

Lamar Jackson threw two touchdowns and an interception. Jackson wasn’t sharp after not playing football for about two weeks. Despite that, Jackson was productive going 12 for 17 completing a pass to seven different receivers.

Defense

Both sides had fantastic pass protection. Jihad Ward had the lone sack of the game.

The Cowboys were just 6 of 15 on third down. They did make up for it on fourth down. They converted three of their four fourth down opportunities.

The Ravens were worse. They went 5 of 15 on third down. The Ravens went for it on fourth down one time. Lamar Jackson took off for a 37-yard touchdown right up the middle of the field.

Derek Wolfe had another big game for the Ravens. He was consistently around the football and led the Ravens in tackles.

Each side had an interception. For the Ravens, Patrick Queen recorded his first career interception. For the Cowboys it was Darian Thompson.

Special Team Woes

Each side had some huge special teams issues. Justin Tucker missed a field goal, snapping a streak of 70 straight field goals made under 49 yards. The painful part was this. Tucker made the field goal but the play was called back because of a Ravens pre-snap penalty. The Ravens blew some kick coverage. They opened up a lane and Tony Pollard returned the ball 66 yards. Andy Dalton finished the drive and led the Cowboys to a touchdown. The Cowboys special teams issues were in the kicking game. Greg Zuerlein had four field-goal attempts. He made just one of them.

This is my analysis of the Ravens vs Cowboys game from last week.
